Editorial

I don’t know people in Editorial do it. Really. How do you remember what was published, when and what it was about? I would never be able to keep track of all of that. Of course I have a tough time remembering someone’s name right after they tell me.

So if you have ever questioned what ran in the past or you want your writers to have more of a collaborative say on the stories, this might be worth exploring. What we’ve done is taken each article and created a scheduling system around it. You can upload photos to be stored with the article and you can later search for “John Smith” to see if you ever wrote an article on him. There is also an place to store all of your writer’s contact information as well as view all the articles they’ve been assigned. There’s plenty more, but here’s a few other things you can do.

Some of the key features include:

• Track articles that have been assigned and where they stand
• Automatic word count
• Locate advertisers and prospects for promotions by industry
• Create bills for Accounting as articles are publishing
• Print lists of articles scheduled for an issue
